Beautiful

What a pretty baby Cara Noelle is!

Mother's Day

We went to Darren's mom on Mother's Day for dinner. Since we don't have good sidewalks or a driveway near our house we brought Brynn's trike along so she could get some practice in. She has come a long way since this video. Now, we can go for short walks and she is able to bike along. Cara was just at the beginning stages of walking and insisted on walking one handed for well over a month before she began to walk on her own. It makes me so sad to see how much bigger they have gotten in just a couple short months!

Two GREAT Helpers!

Brynn and Cara were oh so helpful in planting the flower bed in front of our house in late May. Between Brynnie flinging the dirt and Cara eating more than her fair share of dirt it was quite the process, but we all had fun. I can't wait for my planting partners to help me again next year!

Brynn kept putting all the flower tags in the dirt and saying, "This says don't pick the flowers. Right, Mom."
A couple of Cutie Pies
I couldn't decide which of the many dirt eating pictures of Cara was my favorite so I posted a few of them!

Brynn was out on the deck having lunch when started whining so I peeked out he patio door and found Cara ON TOP of the table stealing Brynn's fish. Little Stinker!

After some coaxing she agreed to sit on the bench with Brynn as long as she could have some gold fish (which she really isn't supposed to have, but like I said before she has a way of convincing you to give her what she wants!)

Mmmm, mmmmm, good!

Oh what a difference...

...the first and second child can make. Brynn NEVER would have eaten off the floor, but Cara Bean typically has a snack on it most days of the week! I always sweep the area to free it from most of the dog hair before pouring her Kix or Puffs. She is quite the high maintenance little thing and this allows me just a few minutes with a free arm or legs to get a few things done.

By the looks of that sweet face she doesn't seem to mind!

WE LOVE HD!

We are lucky enough to get to spend quite a bit of time with our favorite nine month old (he was 7 months in the picture--I am just now trying to catch up on my posting), Henry Dennis. Although Cara and Henry are the same size (well Henry does have a good two pounds on her) they are actually 4 months apart.

Not the greatest picture of the two of them--I think I may have slicked Cara's hair down too much and Henry's not enough!

An attempt at a good picture--I'll keep trying...

Ducklings

At the end of every school year the kindergarten classes hatch baby ducklings. The Asleson girls are lucky enough to have a mom who is a teacher and is able to set up a private showing after school. Brynn was so excited to see and hold the ducklings. I was surprised by how excited and interested little Miss Cara was seeing them. This is something I look forward to every year...perhaps it's because it means it is nearing the end of the school year?!?

Yes, they are dressed extremely warm for the end of May--we had a bit of a cold spell that week.

It makes me so sad to look at this picture and see how little our Beaner was. She sure has grown up in the last 2 months! At the time of the picture she was just starting to take a few steps and now she is running all over the place. I sure am glad I am a teacher so I can spend the summer with these two lovely ladies of mine!
