Ouch!

It was quite the eventful day with little Brynners. As Darren was getting Brynn into her carseat to go to Lynn's this morning her arm became stuck behind her back and he heard a soft popping noise. She, of course, immediately began crying but settled down soon after so they continued on their way to Lynn's. Shortly after drop off we received a call letting us know she was not using her arm and even asked for help to get a toy off a shelf. As most of you know Brynn is VERY independent (stubborn like her mom!) so Lynn knew she was hurting. After spending two hours with the doctor and having two X-rays the doctor was still puzzled as to what her injury was. We were told to keep her arm in the sling (yeah, right) and if she is still favoring it in two days to bring her back in. Fortunately tonight around 6:30 we coaxed her into using it and she hasn't looked back. We'll see how she is doing in the morning, but we don't expect anything too serious.

"I poop."

It was a big day at the Asleson household, well not exactly the Asleson household, but it did have to do with our favorite Asleson girl. Brynn took her first big girl poop on the potty!!! Lynn saw Brynn sneaking off to a corner as she always does when she takes care of business and asked her what she was doing. She then replied "I poop." Lynn asked if she wanted to use the potty and of course she said, "yeah" as her new favorite thing to do is sit on the potty. After sitting for a minute and a little encouragement from Lynn to push hard business was taken care of on the potty. The above picture is just a re-enactment not the real thing. We just wanted to document her first "official" use of a potty.

The Aslesons

As you can see Brynn Tressa has grown and changed so much in the last year we decided to create a blog to keep all our friends and family updated. Check back often as we will continue to post photos of our little Bug!
