Gymnastics

The girls tried out gymnastics the months of April and May. It worked out great that the time of their classes were held at the same time. Darren also had class this same night (not gynmastics...administration - hehe!) So, we all ate quickly after we got home from school on Wednesdays then Darren headed to class and the girls and I headed to gymnastics. Brynn thought it was okay, but Cara loved it.

You'll notice that Brynn isn't in many posed pictures these days...the photo above is a little a bit of an indication why!

Big Sister

What a good big sister!

STICKERS

Is there a better placement for stickers?

Sleep Over at Claire Bear's!

The girls and I love getting together with our besties, Jen and Claire. Whenever we can we find an excuse to have a sleep over. The last time it was at Jen's house. The girls all did awesome. We met after work on a Friday and went out to dinner then back to Jen's for a little playing.

The girls had a great time on Claire's play structure.
You can't give enough underdogs to these three.

Brushing teeth before bed.

After getting the girls in bed Jen and I were able to spend some quality time drinking a few cold beverages and playing Yahtzee, an old favorite of ours.

The following morning we went to Lookout Ridge which is a giant indoor play yard. Brynn and Cara loved it...Claire was a little sleepy from her late night of partying, but she sat very nicely with her mom while the rest of us played.

Thanks, Jen and Claire, for the great time. I can't wait for our next sleep over!

DUCKLINGS

One of the many perks of being a teacher include opportunities not given to the general public. For instance, a private duckling showing. Our kindergarten classes have always hatched ducklings at the end of every school year. Since Brynn was a year old we have always gone for our own private showing to check them out after school hours.

Before checking the ducklings out the girls took a little time jumping on my mini trampoline. Sure was fun until they bounced each other off a time or two!

Of course Brynn is plugging her nose because she didn't like the smell of the ducklings. She has the MOST sensitive nose of anyone I know.

Adorable!

Hold on little duckling!

Cara loved watching them swim and kept asking us to put them back in every time we took one out.

Picnics

WE LOVE PICNICS! I cannot wait for summer. Only 4 more days...only 4 more days...only 4 more days...then I will be working my dream job!

It was just a bit windy for this picnic, but we made the best of it.

Ouch!

Beginning Band Festival

Darren invited some of his students to attend the Beginning Band Festival...apparently a pretty big honor! The festival just so happens to be held in Austin, MN, my home town. I don't have any prictures of the festival or anything else we did in Austin, but I do have some of the fun we had on Friday night. We got in town around dinner time so we stopped by George's Pizza, our favorite pizza place...EVER. They recently relocated due to the jail expanding and now have an observation window. The pitcher of beer we drank before the pizza arrived was so relaxing since the girls had entertainment. We'll hit up George's any time we are in Austin!

Brynn's Recital

Brynn had her last dance performance in late April. She did such a great job. It's fun to see the progress she has made throughout the year.

Brynn and her very best friend, Miranda.

Best Buddies

Two squeaky clean kids with their best buddy. Yes, Ollie is wearing a bow in his hair...Brynn thought it would match his color very well.
