Happy Birthday Daddy

Happy 32nd Birthday, Darren. We couldn't ask for a better Daddy or husband. We love you!!
I wonder where Brynn gets her cheesy smile from?

African Violet

This picture is for Grandma Theresa. She took my African Violet quite some time ago and nursed it back to health for me. It was returned in September and soon lost all its flowers and they hadn't returned until just recently. Apparently it really likes its new home on top of the fridge!

Fire

We had our first fire on Sunday night. Darren spent the entire weekend working on projects that needed to be completed before the baby arrives (for example her room!) so we decided to take a little break and have some family time. Brynn loved helping Darren manage the fire and would bring him a new piece of wood any time he asked.

Brynn is pretending to drink the beer in this picture. Darren wanted a beer so she thought she needed one too. She carried around the same warm beer all night and would become frantic when she set it down and couldn't remember where. Are we starting bad habits?

I am quite biased, but do they get any cuter than this?

Icee

Darren needed a new painting cup and has found that Super America has great large cups for painting so he sent Brynn and me down to get one. We decided we better fill it up with a berry Icee before we brought it home. Brynn was in HEAVEN! This was her first taste of something sweet to drink. I am sure we made a fan out of her!!
Could this drink get any bigger? For the record she, Darren, and I all shared one.

ABCs

It's kind of hard to hear because Brynn's singing voice is quite quiet, but she is singing the ABCs. She can get all the way through the alphabet...when she wants to :)

"I dwessed myself, Mom!"

A couple weekends ago I mentioned to Brynn that after we got dressed we could head down to the park. I was busy folding laundry at the moment and she said, "I can do it." Sure enough she went up to her drawers picked out her own outfit, striped socks and even put her shoes on. Her pants were on backwards when she came down and she needed help putting on her shirt, but other than that she did a great job! She told me she picked her shirt because it "match my shoes."

Great Grandkids

A quick picture of 5 of the 7 of Grandma Theresa's great-grandchildren.

Haley-7 (?), Layla-4 months, Jackson-29 months, Nolan-9 months, and Brynn-26 months. Not pictured are Cameron-16 months and Ella-16 months.

Painting

"Mommy, I paint pwease?" Brynn received an easel for her birthday from Grandma Debbie and Grandpa that had been limited to chalking and markering on until I could find some toddler paintbrushes and no spill cups to go along with it. She has become quite fond of painting and asks to do it almost daily--she is becoming quite the artist!
