Trouble!

Now that Cara is very efficiently getting around we find her getting herself into trouble all the time. One of her new favorite things to do is pull all the toilet paper off the roll.

Chompers

Now that I have four new chompers up top...
I can much on things like crackers!

Easter

Holidays are getting more and more fun! I love starting traditions and look forward to doing many of the same things every year.
Brynn decorating the annual bunny cake made by Auntie Angie
Brynn placed the eyes, nose, and right ear of the bunny and all the licorice, but grandma Debbie helped with the mouth. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself!
Auntie Katie and Uncle Tommy did a great job hiding all the Easter eggs. Beanie even enjoyed crawling around looking for them.

Brynn was an Easter Egg hog this year. We'll have to really work on it for next year when all the cousins will be interested in the hunt.
When we came home from Key and Tom's on Saturday night we decorated our Eggs. Brynn was rather unimpressed by the whole process. When we were done she asked, "Are we ready to color the eggs yet?" I think she actually thought we were going to color eggs not color eggs!

Sunday morning the girls hunted for their Easter baskets before getting ready for church. They each received a swimsuit and swim wrap, Joe Maur shirt, and book. Brynn finally got her own jump rope--hopefully she'll quit taking the lines for my breast pump now!
Several attempts to get a good picture of these two sweet little ladies. I guess we'll have to try another time...

When did Cara Bean get so BIG?!?

Brynnie insisted on moving Great Grandma Theresa's little rocking chair over by her--it was too cute!
Cara and Great Grandma
Since Cara couldn't partake in any Easter sweets she snacked on a few Sweet Potato Puffs.
Sweet little girl taking a nap on her mama at Great Grandma Marcie's house. This never happens--I thoroughly enjoyed all 45 minutes of it!!

One last attempt to get a good picture of the two of them in their Easter dresses--maybe next year they'll be a little more cooperative...

Spring Break

I'm not sure why anyone would want to go into another profession besides teaching. One of the huge perks (besides the pay-hehe) are the many breaks throughout the year. Really, they are the only thing that get me through the year!! This year (as with every other) we decided to stick close to home.
We had many chances to perfect our skills with the Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom puzzle--I helped Brynners with the outside, but she completed the inside all by herself. Cara and I went to the kitchen to eat breakfast and Brynn came out saying she had it done. I honestly didn't believe her until I saw it for my own eyes. She does have a knack for puzzles!!
We spent lots of time outdoors as it was BEAUTIFUL!
Instead of going on a warm, tropical vacation we decided to hit the Ramada Inn in Rochester and meet the Eckhoffs for a little fun. Unfortunately we arrived a little later than we had anticipated and our waitress (or the cook) was slower than molasses so we didn't have much time to swim together on Tuesday night--I didn't even get a chance to get a picture of either of the Eckhoff boys. We'll have to do it again some time, but leave much earlier.
"I wonder what will happen if I take my hand off this fountain?"
"Son of a $%@#*!"
Cara Bean LOVED the water on Wednesday morning. Although it was well past her morning nap she didn't complain a bit!

Thumbs Up

No matter how many times we try to teach Brynn the thumbs up sign this is what she does!

New Favorite

Here's Cara's new favorite sleep position. Gotta love the butt up in the air!!

St. Patrick's Day

The Leprechaun visited our house on St. Patrick's Day. Brynn walked down the stairs that morning and the first thing out of her mouth was her classic, "Huh! Mom, all the chairs are tipped over...and my puppies are spread every where...and there's stuff all over in here (living room) too." After I told her I thought the Leprechaun did it she wasn't sure if she should be scared or interested. For the next few days that is all she talked about. She was sure in awe of all that went on while she slept!

He tipped over Cara's exersaucer,
hung bibs, wash cloths, and towels from the lights,
and turned Brynn's milk green!
I'm not sure why she decided to drink out the jug--we certainly don't do this any other day of the year!
DANG! She's cute!
To celebrate the day we had a green salad, green grapes, chicken alfredo with green noodles and green borccoli.

Brynn's Third Birthday!!

Brynnie had a fabulous third birthday!! We picked her up from Lynn's on Friday night and took her and Cara to the MOA for dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe then to the indoor park for a few rides on the carousel.
Mommy and her girls!
Daddy and Mini Me

Although Brynn loved all her gifts, her two favorites were her raincoat and boots from Auntie Key, Uncle Tommy and Henry and her rocking chair from Grandma and Grandpa Mullenbach

Cara took a little break from watching Brynn open her presents to show Claire her skills with her push walker.
The five Mullenbach grandkids.

Don't the girls look thrilled to be wearing party hats?!?

Just a few of the kids that attended Brynn's party: Cara, Carli, Nolan, Claire, Henry, Claire, Eli, and Brynners
The kids table!
Brynn and Peyton are the best of buddies--soon this picture will be on their wedding reception table!
We had a Word World themed birthday. I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't get a picture of Brynn's cake, jello jigglers, plates, napkins, cups...that made the theme special. A HUGE shout out to Auntie Key who spent hours making Brynn's cake, cupcakes, and jigglers. We couldn't have done it without you, Key. Thanks a million!!
