Too cute! A friend from work borrowed me her daughter's (who is now in high school) Farmington Cheerleader costume that her mom made to use for Brynn. I had asked if her mom would be willing to make Cara one as well. You ask and you shall receive! Both Brynn and Cara's are big enough that they will reappear next year around this time too. I can't wait. How cute is it going to be when Cara is walking around next to her big sister!

Pumpkin Patch
Since Brynn has been born we always visit the same pumpkin patch so we can take her picture next to the apple. I am always amazed at how much she grows and changes from year to year. The day we chose to go to the pumpkin patch this year was supposed to be 62 and sunny. Unforunately while we were there is was more like 36 and WINDY. We didn't pick apples or pumpkins this year, but we did watch apple cider be made, play at the park, and go on a hay ride. It was just too cold for those of us who were underdressed to be out much longer!

Snow in October
That's right, Darren and Brynn were able to spend a little time outdoors on October 12th building a snowman while some men were here blowing out our sprinkler system!
Park
It's been a long time since we have last posted...apparently this working and raising two kids thing doesn't leave much, if any, left over time! A couple weeks ago (before it snowed in October) we all took a trip down the hill to the park. Cara was able to go on her first swing ride (which she loved as long as the swing was barely moving) and slide. Brynn also had a great time.

Pumping and Hot Cocoa
After a long morning of feeding her baby and pumping Brynn enjoyed a nice cup of Hot Cocoa from Starbucks brought to her by Aunt Katie and Uncle Tom. They are so thoughtful...they even brought Darren and foo foo coffee and me a soy hot cocoa! It was a great way to start off a rainy Saturday morning.
STINKY!
Oliver got himself into a bit of a pickle on Wednesday night. I was in the kitchen doing up dishes after the girls went to bed when I heard him wrestling with some wild animal in the backyard. I opened the garage door to get him in the house and what did I smell? A SKUNK! Yep, he was sprayed by a skunk! Luckily he wasn't sprayed bad and Colby was in the house at the time. Darren looked on the internet and found a formula of peroxide, dish soap, and baking soda to bathe him in. The formula worked and now he smells like roses! Hopefully he learned his lesson!
Butterflies
Auntie Katie had given Brynn 5 caterpillars in hopes that they would form a chrysalis and we could let them go. Unfortunately, all 5 didn't make it so Darren was able to get 3 more...and an actual butterfly that had already emerged from a friend at work. We must not have the special touch to raise caterpillars because the other three we received also perished. At least Brynn was able to let one out of eight go!
